Q. How can I view all the tours you offer?

A. You can view all the tours we offer under the TOURS category. There are two ways to view our tour options. If you would like to see all of the tours we offer along with their descriptions, click Book a Tour. From here you can read short descriptions of each tour before deciding which one to book.

If you would like to see all the tours we offer at a week at a glance, click Tour Calendar to choose the week that you would like to view. All the tours that are available to book will be reflected on this calendar on the day of the week that they are running.


Q. What is the difference between an Imbiber and a Teetotaler?

A. If you are joining us on a tour to drink and enjoy the beer selection, please book as an Imbiber. Alternatively, if you are unable to drink alcohol or you just aren’t a beer fan at heart, we offer the Teetotaler option so that you can still join us for the fun, but not pay for the beer you can’t drink! Teetolalers DO NOT get beer. Please keep this in mind when booking!


Q. How do I make a reservation for a tour?

A. You can either make a reservation online, or call us!!

Online: Under the TOURS category, view our tour options by clicking on Book a Tour to view a list of all of our tour offerings, or by clicking on Tour Calendar to view our available tours at a week at a glance. Click on the dates you would like to reserve tickets for, and continue with the following prompts. For Private tours (Build Your Own Tours) fill out the BYOT form and we will get in touch with you ASAP.

Q. Do I have to make a reservation?

A. If you want a guaranteed seat – then yes, you must make a reservation in advance. We are unable to secure your reservation without payment in full. If you are unable to make a reservation in advance but would still like to join us on a tour, please call us (503 729 6804) so we can help get you on the bus pending availability and tour time.


Q. What payments are accepted?

A. For bookings on our website or over the phone with a BREWVANA employee, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. We recommend that you bring cash if you would like to make purchases during the tour such as beer to-go, BREWVANA swag, or brewery merchandise.


Q. My reservation is complete. Now what?

A. If you have chosen your date, following your payment confirmation you should receive an email containing your tour details. This should specify tour name and date, pick-up location and time, and tour duration. If you have booked for a walking tour that has not yet reached its minimum we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated as the tour reaches its minimum.

24 hours prior to your tour, you will also receive an email reminder containing the above information and other details to keep in mind.

If your tour includes a behind the scenes tour, don’t forget to wear close toed shoes, bring a valid ID, and are ready for a good time!


Q. What if I have to cancel my reservation?

A. We will be sad that you wonʼt be joining us, but if you give us more than a 72 hour notice, we will refund your money minus a 15% processing fee.


Q. What if I book for the wrong date?

A. If you book for the wrong date and call us within 24 hours, we are happy to transfer your tour to the correct date at no additional fee. Unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds if you book for the wrong date, and then do not show up for your tour! Please carefully review your tour details before your book.


Q. What if I do not show up for my tour because I forgot?

A. As much as we are completely bummed that you missed out on the fun, we are unable to provide you a refund or transfer your booking. Please make sure to check your email regularly– we send you several email reminders before the tour to make sure you don’t miss out!


Q. What if I don’t have a good time on the tour? Can I get my money back?

A. This has never happened before, but if you aren’t 100% satisfied, we will offer you a gift certificate to return so we can make your next experience the BEST. (Depending on the issue, the gift certificate amount will vary). We do NOT offer refunds for tours.


Q. I am unable to book for a tour or there are no tours running. Can I swing by BREWVANA to grab a beer?

A. We wish! Unfortunately we do not currently have a taproom for you to visit. The address that is available online is our office space and even though we are tons of fun, it’s not the most fun to visit.

Tour Questions 



Q. What is an appropriate amount to tip my tour guide/driver?

A. We think 15-20% is a great range to say thanks to your guide for a great time! However, any amount is appreciated.


Q. Where are the pick-up spots for bus tours?

A. We include free a pick-up at two specified locations before the tour, and at the end of the tour drop you off at your preferred pick-up location.

WEST Riverplace Hotel : We pick-up at this location 30 minutes PRIOR to tour time.

Q. Do you offer Customized pick-up spots?

A. If you would prefer to be picked up somewhere other than the two locations listed above, we also offer a Custom Pick-up & Drop off for your convenience. This option is an additional $30.00 for a custom up location within 3 miles of Pioneer Courthouse Square. The Custom pick-up fee is per location, not per passenger, so it’s a great choice for a group!  For a location outside the 3 mile zone, please call us at 503.729.6804 for availability and pricing.

If you have selected a custom pick-up location your tour guide will call you the morning of the tour to verify the time and place of pick-up. Please be ready for your tour a minimum of 45 minutes before the tour time. Drop offs will be the same after the tour.

We also offer rides home for an additional $10 per stop in order to insure everyone makes it home safely.


Q. Do you offer a pick-up option for walking tours?

A. We do not offer pick-ups for our walking tours. Our walking tours meet at a pre-determined location before the tour begins.


For our Beer Love in the Pearl Walking Tour we ask that you meet us outside of Deschutes Brewery (210 NW 11th Ave., Portland, OR) at 10:50AM.


For our Mississippin’ Walking Tour we ask that you meet us outside of Ecliptic Brewery (825 North Cook St., Portland, Oregon) at 12:50PM.


Q. Is parking available at the pick-up spots?

A. There are no metered spots near the Riverplace Hotel that you can park for long enough on any of our tours. Lloyd district parking meters operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise posted. The current parking rate in the Lloyd district is $1 per hour. The DoubleTree hotel also partners with a side lot that offers garage parking for $2.50/hour.

If you are joining us on our Beer Love in the Pearl Walking Tour, we recommend you park at a garage as the street parking is limited and will not cover the duration of your tour. Specifically, we recommend the Whole Foods parking lot on the east side of 13th Street between Couch and Davis. If you are joining us on our Mississippin’ Walking Tour, there is plenty of free neighborhood parking to go around! Please just remember to be courteous and respectful parkers!

Q. Do you offer wheelchair accommodation?

A. Why yes we do! If you are completing the booking process online be sure to answer yes when you reach the prompt. If you are booking with us over the phone we’ll be sure to ask. Please let us know as soon as possible if you forgot to mention this during the booking process so we can get you taken care of!


Q. I have specific dietary restrictions or requests. On the tours that include food, will there be options available for me?

A. Yes. We provide vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options for all packages that include food (not the beer). Just be sure to let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly!


Q. Will you provide enough beer on the tour or will I leave thirsting for more?

A. We hope that you will have more than enough beers to sample on each of our tours, but we wonʼt stop you if you want to purchase more along the way. You will also be able to purchase bottles of beers to go, and they can be kept cool in the fridge on the bus.

If you think we can improve the selection or amount of beers, PLEASE let us know so we can make our next tour even better!


Q. Can I drink on the bus?

A. Yes! Just make sure to share your beverage with your friends (not your driver) and be careful not to spill! No open beer getting on the bus or off of the bus (i.e., you can drink it on the bus, but can’t take an open beer through the bus doorway).


Q. Are kids allowed on the tours?

A. No one under 21 years old is allowed on our public tours. If you book a private event, however, we may be able to work with you depending on the situation. We try to accommodate your every want and need on our BYOTʼs, but we prefer to not mix beer with kids.


Q. What if my friend doesn’t drink/like beer? Can they drink something else?

A. We will ask them to try at least taste ONE sample of beer on the tour in an effort to convert them to a beer lover, but we wonʼt cry if it doesn’t work out that way. They are also welcome to ride the bus as a Teetotaler and if we visit establishments that offer other beverages they enjoy, guests are welcome to purchase those separately.
